American Public Works Association Conference in Phoenix

July 26, 2010

The American Public Works Association (APWA), Arizona Chapter, will host its annual conference Aug. 2 and 3 at the Phoenix Convention Center. This event offers industry professionals the opportunity to learn about new products and services, attend informative presentations and network with other public works professionals to better serve the public.

This year’s opening session features Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Luke Air Force Base: Mission Ready by Steve Yamamori, executive director and CEO, Fighter County Partnership.

The 900 members of the Arizona Chapter of APWA serve the public by maintaining and improving our state’s infrastructure. Members provide the design, construction and maintenance for services the public depends on every day, including transportation, utilities, water, recycling and waste management.

APWA, Arizona Chapter recently launched a new educational website for all sectors of the public works industry, offering training opportunities, professional development and continuing education units.
