A series of free College Depot seminars is offered for students and parents seeking assistance with college planning. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the college planning process, from admissions to financial aid and career exploration. The workshops will be at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave., second floor.

Exploring Arizona’s High Tech Futures
Love technology? Explore high tech career options with College Depot. Find out what it takes to land a high tech job in the Phoenix area. Meet reps from Valley companies such as Intel and ArmorWorks.

Silvia Valadez, advisor, College Depot, will share ideas on how to pay for college, including financial aid and searching for scholarships.

Amanda Kahler, author of “Out on my Own...College Bound,” will provide a guide to eliminate fears while balancing hard work, success and fun during the first year of college.

New College Information Session
Nikki Bonnet, student support specialist, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University West, will present information about possible majors. ASU West’s innovative programs provide the foundation and skills necessary for effective expression and a greater understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures, past and present.

Jason Ladner, assistant vice president, Merrill Lynch, will explore his journey in the world of business and finance. Jason is a graduate of ASU’s College of Business.

Summer Youth Programs at Gateway Community College
Attendees will learn about summer youth programs offered at Gateway Community College for 6th through 8th graders, such as Junior ACE and Hoop of Dreams.
